How do you launch an international market research division?

Acumen Fieldwork are a leading brand in market research fieldwork in the UK, but lesser know for the work they do internationally. They chose Marketing Week’s Understand exhibition at Olympia to tell the industry all about their international offer and commissioned PITCH&CO to create a unique way of telling people about it.

PITCH came up with the idea of a spoof international departure lounge to launch their first class service. Visitors were mailed an Acumen international boarding pass styled invitation, encouraging them to visit the stand and collect a free glass of bubbly. PITCH suggested the team dress up as Acumen international air hostesses to greet them as they arrived whilst exhibition graphics helped to create the feel of the departure lounge. A large world map was made up using the Acumen iconic cog shapes and red cogs marked the countries Acumen work in, whilst a spoof departures board, showed what sort of research service they offered in those countries.

The stand was a huge success, and was brought to life by the Acumen team who were prepared to dress up and be such great sports. Well done girls!
